I would like to see BC become the best school in the county. I have helped with the football booster club and the band and feel that BC is a good school that needs some consistency with administrators and teachers alike. We are the biggest high school in the county and are looked down upon by the rest of the county. I would like to see that changed for the better. We need more parent involvement, principals that will stay long enough to make a huge positive impact as well as athletic directors and teachers to stay and grow with us. I feel like we need to find the best-qualified people for the open positions at our school. North Bullitt paid an interim principal while they went out and got the best principal the state had to offer. Why isn’t that principal at Bullitt Central instead? This is not to belittle Mr. Beward in any way. Mr. Beward has been quite helpful and professional and I support him as our principal. I think we need to move in similar directions as the other two high schools to reach where we need to be. I would like to see more community involvement to help make our school, athletic programs, and academic programs some of the best in the county. We are not tapping into all the potential the county businesses and citizens have to offer. I would also like to see the Alumni Association to step up and help in rebuilding the oldest high school in Bullitt County with the largest graduating classes.

I would like to serve on the Bullitt
Central High School Site Based Decision Making Council to represent the
students and parents to ensure we have the best programs and policies for our
school. I have a sophomore at BCHS and
A 2007 graduate. I am a very involved
parent within many areas of the BCHS currently and in the past. I served 2 years as a choir booster. I was the Vice President of the Parents at
Work for Students (PAWS) Committee, and am now President of the BC PTSA. I was a Member of the 07 / 08 Discipline
Code Committee for Bullitt County Schools, and am Chairman of the BCHS Youth
Service Center the last 2 years. I have
developed and presented Internet Safety presentations for the Students,
Teachers and Parents of Bullitt Central to raise awareness of the dangers
online. I also involved supporting the
JROTC program for the last two years. I
am requesting your vote to be able to serve you and your children this coming
year on the BCHS Site Based Decision Making Council. Thank you.

It would be a an honor and pleasure to
represent the parents of BCHS again next year on the SBDM council. As a member of the council for the 2007/2008
school year work has begun to change the culture at BCHS and I would welcome
the opportunity to continue to be a part of continuing improvements both to the
culture and academics. The parents at
BCHS need a voice and your consideration and support is appreciated.
